In “Accel world,” teenagers can travel from the regular world into a world where everything moves faster. The point? To fight. Haru, a short, rotund kid who takes every single insult to heart. In Accel World, he’s the only guy who can fly.
This figure was sent to us by the always awesome HobbyLink Japan. You can find him here: http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN976257.
Let’s kick off with the box.
And now a peek inside the double-layered case.
Why double-layered? Because DEM WINGS. This will not be the last time I drool over the wings.
Let’s take him out!
Like this, he’s not terribly impressive. He’s silver, as his name implies, with purple hints and a green anonymous face.
Here he is from the front.
And the back of his top side. He looks kind of like he has a zipper running down between his should blades. You can also see the ports where you plug in his wings.
Here’s his torso and pelvis. Check the belly button and the hip armor.
And his armored feet. I really like the look of them. His feet remind me of an old school knight.
It’s time to take a look at those wings. First, from the side:
They’re absolutely the most beautiful part of this figure. It’s fitting, since that’s what makes him such a compelling character in the fighting game. The important thing about these wings is the way they shine and reflect. They’re beautiful, almost like solar panels or broken shards of glass.
They’re also gigantic.
Especially when they’re both popped out, as if in flight. I’ve never had a figure cast this much shadow before.
Flight is only half of what Silver Crow does in “Accel World.” He also fights. Let’s take a look at some fighting stuff.
He’s got a blade of sorts.
But his big attack is in his punch.
Check the finger impressions on the end of that fist. Pretty cool, huh?
And when one punch isn’t enough…
That’s his killer move.
All in all? He’s an okay figure with incredible wings. Without the wings, he’d be kinda dull. With the wings? Fantastic. For a little more info, check my review video.
